Cones are only available undyed. These yarns are straight from the mill and have not been scoured/washed/finished in any way. Scour before dyeing. Work up a swatch and wash it accordingly before deciding on your gauge - the yarn blooms substantially upon washing. Alternately, you can skein it up, tie up the skeins securely, wash them first and work from "finished" yarn.
