LOCAL IS BACK IN STOCK!

I'm pleased to let you know that Local is back in stock! This squishy and soft yarn is 50% alpaca from Pepper Pot Farm in Lambertville NJ, 50% certified organic Merino. The story of this batch of Local started last summer, when I drove to Pepper Pot Farm in a minivan to pick up the alpaca fiber. It was so nice to put a face to the fiber, so to speak! Addie, Lakota, Buttercup, and Indie were just a few of the members of the alpaca herd I had the chance to meet.  Local is produced as I can get alpaca fiber, so it may be a year before I can restock after this particular batch!

Local is spun in Massachusetts, at a mill outside of Boston. The mill was built in the mid-1700s and is one of the oldest operating spinning mills in the country. After spinning, the yarn is skeined and dyed in Philadelphia. It is a truly rustic, minimally processed yarn - if that's your thing, you'll love it.

The colors of the yarn are named after "local" flora, fauna, or landmarks - local to Philadelphia or the state of PA. Don't forget about the free patterns for Local. Each can be downloaded from the O-Wool website. If you've been holding off to have a larger color selection, now is the time!
